Pictures in "Art in the Open 2008"

This exhibition of Wexford plein air landscapes is selected from the finest works created by participating professional artists during the August festival of outdoor painting, 'Art in the Open 2008'.
This event was a resounding success, drawing over one hundred artists to paint on location, in and around Wexford Town. Despite a diluvian August, the sunny south-east remained clement throughout the bank holiday weekend and there was a marvellous atmosphere with serious work being produced, a camaraderie among plein air artists and great interest among locals who were charmed that so many artists had come to paint and draw their town.
