BOB LYNN was born in Scotland in 1940. He studied at Edinburgh College of Art and subsequently taught art in Scotland and London. Lynn studied enamelling as a mural technique under Stefan Knapp, receiving a scholarship to Poland in 1970. In 1984 he moved to Wicklow.
Lynn’s work was the subject of short film on RTÉ’s ‘The Arts Show’ in 1989. His work is highly regarded in Ireland and Lynn was elected Chairman of Visual Arts, Éigse Carlow Arts Festival between 1994 to’96 and 2000 to ‘02. In 2004 he was selector for Wicklow Artists Mermaid Arts Centre. Bob Lynn is also a noted print-maker and is a member of both the Leinster Print-Making Studio and the Graphic Print-Making Studio.
